Voice in the Valley is proud to offer several music camps throughout the summer for kids of all ages!
Songwriting & Sound-recording Summer Camp
Join us this summer for three, fun-filled Songwriting Summer Camps! Each camp is designed for songwriters age 12+ to build and enhance their songwriting skills at any level! Every session concludes with a recording session at Black Dog Recording Studios in Black Diamond!
Summer Songwriting Camp I
- Join us June 26th-29th from 9am-12pm for our 2nd annual Summer Songwriting Camp! Learn the basics of collaborative songwriting in a fun, creative environment, then record the final composition at local Black Dog Recording Studios in Black Diamond.
Summer Songwriting Camp Session II
- Join us July 24th-27th from 9am-12pm for Session II of our Summer Songwriting Camp! Build and expand your collaborative songwriting abilities in a fun, creative environment. Our 2nd Session will take your songwriting skills to the next level, to include songwriting in teams, exploring vocal solos, and learning the fundamentals of harmonization. The camp will culminate with a live recording session at local Black Dog Recording Studios in Black Diamond!
Summer Songwriting Camp Session III
- Join us August 14th-17th from 9am-12pm for Session III of our Summer Songwriting Camp! Expand your collaborative songwriting prowess in a fun, creative, and challenging environment. Our 3rd and final summer session will take your compositional skills to the next level, to include student accompaniments, peer assessments, and in-depth discussions on form, lyrical, rhythmic, and melodic choices. The camp will culminate with a live recording session at local Black Dog Recording Studios in Black Diamond!
Summer Songwriting Camp Sessions I, II, & III
- Join us for all three Songwriting Summer Camps and save! Each camp is designed to build and enhance your songwriting skills. Every session concludes with a recording session at Black Dog Recording Studios in Black Diamond!
Musical Theatre Performance Camp
July 10th-14th
(Kids ages 8-18)
Voice in the Valley Music Studio is proud to partner with Maple Valley Creative Arts Center to offer this fun-filled, weeklong camp specifically designed for developing vocalists and actors (ages 8-18), emphasizing the application of acting techniques to song performance. Participants will explore and perform multiple songs (solos/duets/ensembles) from a variety of Broadway musicals and Disney favorites. The camp focuses on stage presence, movement, and advancing dramatic action through the song. Participants will also be introduced to the fundamental principles of singing, projection, and breathing. The workshop is held daily at the Maple Valley Creative Arts Center from 9am-2pm Monday-Thursday. Friday's dress rehearsal will be held from 4pm-6pm. The Final Performance Showcase will be held at 6pm, open to the public.

Vocal Performance Camp
August 21st-25th
(Girls, Ages 10-18)
Voice in the Valley Music Studio is proud to partner with Maple Valley Creative Arts Center to offer this fun-filled, weeklong camp specifically designed for developing female vocalists (ages 10-18), emphasizing the importance of solid vocal technique to enhance song performance. Participants will explore multiple songs (solos/duets/ensembles) from a variety of genres, being coached by Dr. Jessi Jumper and our special vocal coach, Jessie Siren! This special camp also focuses on uplifting and empowering young girls in our local community in a safe and inclusive environment. In addition to learning music that has positive, powerful messages, campers also explore relative social issues such as self-esteem development, peer pressure, body issues, bullying, and more. Our goal is to leave these talented young women feeling confident as performers and as an individual, secure in who they are, and beautiful from the inside out. The workshop is held daily at the Maple Valley Creative Arts Center from 9am-2pm Monday-Thursday. Friday's dress rehearsal will be held from 4pm-6pm.
